Darkness. Loneliness. Heartless. This was his punishment, he decided. He would rot here for eternity, give Sora the time with Kairi he deserved and wanted. His punishment, for being so weak, so obsessive. Here in the darkness forever. He chuckled, not caring that it echoed drearily throughout the world he couldn't see. Like being in a world with trees and sunshine would make him feel any better. Might even make him feel worse. Sora, after all, liked trees and sunshine, and anything that Sora liked would remind him of Sora. And that was pretty painful. Of course, it wasn't all pain. But it still hurt. Like a splinter, he decided, or a loose tooth- that was what Sora was like. Or maybe even the sky itself- getting under your skin, hurting and laughing, and a bunch more, all mixing together so strongly until you couldn't live without them, couldn't imagine life without them. Until suddenly, the splinter was gone, or the tooth popped out. Then you didn't hurt anymore. You felt better. And if it was a tooth, you got money. The sky, however was different. Sometimes people went mad without it. Some said that they couldn't live without it. He shifted, curling tighter around himself, trying to make the open darkness less oppressive. He couldn't leave Sora alone. He just couldn't. It was like an addiction. Only worse, because it couldn't be satisfied. Even if it could, he didn't know how, didn't want to think about it. Instead, he shifted a bit more, trying to ignore the humidity. Contrary to popular belief, it was warm here, to the point of being hot. Not even the island got that hot. Although it almost did, the summer before Kairi came. He and Sora and everybody just laid around, too hot to do anything. And then Sora had the wonderful idea of tossing a water balloon at him while he was napping. He smiled; the water fight had lasted far into the night, and when it ended, they had fallen asleep exhausted on the sand by the beach. He could almost feel the sand beneath him, hear the waves crashing nearby to the accompaniment of Sora's light snoring. Sora was.everything. He was connected to everything and anything he might feel, see, or hear. He truly was the sky, stretching on forever, changing daily, making you take it utterly for granted. He could live without the sky. He would live so that he could see it again. He turned over again, sighed, and prepared himself for an eternity of lonely nights, even for the ones with a sky.

In case you couldn't tell, this is Riku pining after Sora after the events of the game. His feelings were based on an awesome essay/rant that my Riku/Sora crazy friend printed out and told me to read. -.-; I haven't even finished KH yet, thanks to my aversion to Disney characters, the English voice-acting, and my ADD when it comes to video games. Seriously. I can't even finish Golden Sun. I have serious game ADD. So, review, recommend to your friends, etc.
