Judy Hoops and Nick Wilde had a blooming relationship ever since Judy came back to the police force. Unfortunately someone had seen this and made it public. Within minutes there were threats and hate towards the two once proud officers. They needed help and soon that's where Xavier Ren and Catalina Cortez come into play. They are both mercenaries and were hired to help Nick and Judy. They were to protect them from any harm and had orders to shoot anyone who attacks.
Xavier opened his eyes and yawned, he looked over at his clock 5:25am. He turned to look and see if Catalina was still sleeping and lo and behold there she was still asleep. Xavier sat up and climbed out of his bed, he groaned "Christ why am I waking up so damn early?", he opened the bedroom door and walked into the kitchen and starting making some tea to wake him up a little bit. He heard a noise coming from the bedroom and he looked over to see what it was. Catalina had woken up and was walking into the kitchen " Hello my dear, how are you this morning? ", Xavier said with a groggy smile. " I'm doing fine but still a bit sleepy.", Catalina replied with a wide smile. "Wow she is about the only woman I know that is not pissed off in the morning.", Xavier thought to himself. He gave her a quick peck and said "I'm gonna check and see if we have a job to do.", he said walking into the living room and grabbing a laptop bag and pulling out the laptop. " Well anything?", Catalina asked before taking a sip of tea. "Huh... looks like we're being bodyguards for while."
At Judy Hopp's apartment 30 minutes later
Xavier knocked on the door three times then stood back. When the door opened he was surprised to see that a fox and a bunny were in the same room. Xavier asked politely "Are you Nicholas P. Wilde?", the fox answered with " Yes I am.", Xavier extended his arm to shake hands with Nick but he seemed reluctant. "I am Xavier Ren and this is my partner Catalina Cortez, we were assigned to act as bodyguards for you and ."
As Xavier and Catalina went home to get their equipment Xavier said "I think this could be an opportunity to actually be close to home for once.", Catalina smiled and said " You are absolutely right about that one.", Xavier parked their car and went up to their apartment and unlocked the door and went in. Catalina tapped him on the shoulder, the moment he turned around Catalina kissed him.
