God
Prologue
The garden of which the girl sat in was silent. The only sounds that could be heard where the delicate chirps from the crickets and the gentle trickling of the stream.
"Hey Rima, do you believe in God?" The girl turned onto her side and met eyes with her friend.
Rima had never given it much thought… Was there a God? If so, where was the decisive proof?
"I don't know what to believe." Rima responded warmly. The boy let out his breath gently, as though the question kept him on edge for a response. Rima turned back onto her back and looked up at the tall trees letting shards of sunshine through the leaves swaying against the wind.
"What about you Nagihiko?" Rima asked. Nagihiko turned onto his back and sighed.
"I guess I do…" He said, though the tone of his voice hinted uneasiness behind his response.
The two children continued watching the trees sway in the wind and listening to the water trickle down the stream. The question still hung over Rima's head.
Did she believe in God?
Author's Note
This idea came to the author one summer's night. The toads were… being toads in the swamp-like backyard. The rain had ceased… for now. The author had felt pain… in her leg.
I am being quite serious; my leg hurts like hell (growing pains?).
This is just a quick idea that came to my mind. I'll write the first chapter… next weekend. Also if you're reading my story 'Patience' I'll be updating that next weekend too.
Happy Reading~
