Introduction
Hello people. This is my first story, so it probably isn't that good but whatever.
Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson.
PERCY POV
I groaned. My mom kept calling me, saying I needed to get up for school. You know what, screw school. Unfortunately, I had to go. I slowly forced myself out of bed. After I got on my clothes, a simple T-shirt and a pair of khakis, I headed downstairs where Paul awaited. All of a sudden, a flash of light surrounded me. I looked around in confusion. Around me was the 12 Olympian thrones, and when I looked in further detail, many other sleepy half bloods were with me.
"Greetings, half bloods." Zeus boomed. "I have decided today that the mortals will find out that we do in fact exist. Apollo as assisted me in this by putting the adventures of our heroes into ten books. I will start by sending our heroes to read these at a high school, and will later announce it globally. The high school in question is Goode High School of New York. Half bloods dismissed.
With that, the half bloods were teleported back to what they were doing.
My main reaction to his speech was "Crap." I assume you can guess why. The entire world would soon know about our lives, our friendships, our sorrow, and our hardships. I sighed, grabbed a bowl of cereal, then left.
After driving with Paul to Goode, I sat down in homeroom, thinking about when the torture would begin. I really didn't want to have to relive those experiences. Just before first period would start, an announcement was said on the loudspeaker.
"Attention students and teachers. We will be having an assembly today, starting in first period. Please head to the auditorium now."
Students rushed out the door, wondering what this could possibly be about. The school sat down in their seats. To my surprise, Paul was standing onstage.
After everyone had filed in, Paul began to speak. "Hello. Today, the world will be revealed a shocking secret. I am no person to explain, so a number of students have been assigned to tell their story. These students are Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Katie Gardner, Grover Underwood, Clarisse LaRue, Leo Valdez, Piper McLean, Jason Grace, Thalia Grace, Reyna Amirez-Arellano, Hazel Levesque, Frank Zhang, Nico diAngelo, Rachel Elizabeth Dare, Travis Stoll, and Connor Stoll. Please come to the stage if your name was called."
I hesitantly stood up and walked to the stage. I've faced worse challenges, right? But I had this uneasy feeling that this very well may be worse.
On a table, lay 10 books and a note. The note read,
Half Bloods
You have been assigned to read ten books about your adventures to the mortals. The first five are in Perseus's point of view, so he shall experience all the pain he has gone through, and the pain will be ceased when it would in the book. Please explain to the mortals about your existence; they still do not know.
- The Fates
My heart sunk. I thought I could be free from the torture, but I guess I never will. I officially hate being a half blood. Of course, I always have, but this is just evil on a whole new level.
Annabeth began to explain that we existed. I tuned out most of it, but I could tell the mortals were gasping. They didn't believe us, unsurprisingly.
Annabeth's voice snapped me out of my trance. "Percy. Prove to them we exist by using your powers."
"See that water bubbler over there? Watch it." I concentrated and had the water do a boomerang style movement around the room. The mortals looked in awe. I just smiled and bowed.
"Well," Annabeth said, "Without further ado, lets begin."
