Escape

Fuji smiled. Ryoma knew then that he was doomed.

"No," Ryoma said curtly, picking up his racket and backing away from the courts. Fuji followed him easily, moving to the side and picking up a towel easily, dabbing at his face in obviously seductive movements. Ryoma gulped and looked away, breath coming out faster.

"No? But I didn't even say anything, Ryoma," Fuji said lightly, sitting down.

"Whatever you are going to, no," Ryoma gritted out. He knew he shouldn't have allowed Fuji's wiles to work on him. Ryoma couldn't help himself from looking back at Fuji who - a stunted groan escaped Ryoma's lips - who now wasn't wearing a shirt.

Of course, this being Fuji and a public place there were plenty of people, female and male, paying attention. Ryoma felt the irrational urge to crush them. Then he wished that Karupin was here. There were no vending machines selling Ponta either. Ryoma knew, he had looked.

"I thought it would be more," Fuji licked his lips, Ryoma stared devoutly at his shoes, "Conductive if we lived together."

"I live with my parents," Ryoma said quickly.

"I know. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could express ourselves fully?" Fuji nodded, absently stroking his hip.

"Uh..."

His father wasn't wholly pleased, grumbling at missing the chance to beat him at tennis every afternoon, though it had been some time since that had been a regular event. His mother had taken one glance at Fuji, then a sharp look at her son before sharing a smile with Fuji. It had rankled Ryoma, even as he stroked Karupin.

Who then betrayed him by leaping into Fuji's lap. Ryoma narrowed his eyes.

There were surprisingly quite a few boxes when he moved in. Ryoma managed to step on at least three cacti before Fuji had carefully moved them to more hard to reach places.

The bookcases were filled with books from at least three languages, tennis balls, sweat bands and now, Ryoma thought with satisfaction, cat toys.

When he found that there was only one bedroom, only one bed, Ryoma stared at it for a long moment, until Fuji touched him on the shoulder. Leaning in, Fuji whispered, "We'll have to test it out together tonight. I don't think I've managed to work out all the kinks yet." Other than the faintly disturbing way Fuji said 'kinks' Ryoma couldn't wait. Even though Fuji was smiling that smile. The one that had got him in this situation in the first place.

Karupin quickly claimed a spot on their bed and seemed rather miffed when Fuji, calmly but firmly, removed him for the night.
