A/N: Hey everyone. I bet you're wondering where the hell I've been for the last month huh? Well. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to put anything up. Life keeps happening and I've been a little depressed. Eh... It doesn't matter. I hope you like.

The mist settled around him, making the air cold and damp on his skin, and his tunic hung limply off of his shivering form.He trudged through the moors, his sword and scabbard weighing him down.

He took a couple steps forward and sneezed, looking around.

What a miserable place this was. He could hear the croak of frogs, the song of birds not seen, and the strange call of things not known. He shivered again and moved onward.

"How long has it been?" He asked himself. "since I have entered this Farore-saken place? And why? Has it been so long that I've already forgotten?"

A faint trickle of memory lit up his senses.

No, it was Her. He remembered. It had been for her.

His felt his face grow hot and his heart tremble at the thought of her.

He thought back to their last meeting; They had been walking in one of the many gardens that she grew. The scent of roses permeated the air, and the sunlight dappled the ground they stood on. He stood silently by her side as she bent her head over a blossom, waiting for her to speak. After a moment, she turned and glanced at him with a soft chuckle.

" Why so tense?"

He shifted nerviously where he stood.

She moved closer to him. " Link?"

Link felt his voice catch in his throat, and coughed slightly to clear it.

" My princess, I -"

"Link..." Zelda held his gaze for a moment before she looking away, her face flushing.

" You know why I've summoned you here, do you not?"

Link nodded.

Zelda calmly spoke, a hint of sadness played in her voice. " There are many who are depending on you now. This new horror cannot continue."

Link knelt down on one knee, placing his right arm across his chest as a sign of loyalty and honor. Zelda place a hand on his shoulder. " Do not fail them. Do not fail me."

Link looked up into her azure eyes.

" yes, my princess."

Suddenly the warmth was gone, and cold reality set in. Link stumbled and caught himself with the scabbard before he hit the ground.

He cursed the ever increasing mist, wondering if he would even find a way out. He leaned upon his sheathed breathing heavily, and suddenly sensed a presence to his far left. still leaning against the scabbard he unsheathed the master sword and unsteadily pointed it at a great white wolf.

The wolf looked at him with clear black eyes.

" You have done well, hero."

Link felt himself weakening, slowly lowering the bane of evils blade to the muddy ground beneath him.

" Now it is time for you to rest."

I really hope that this gets saved this time. I had written a slightly different version from this, not much, but still a bit different. It's a one-shot, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't much. I hope this was slightly romantic... I'm trying something out, and romance is new for me. Especially using Zelda. I'm a wordy person, very discriptive. Probably too much, but.. Meh...

For those who care, I wrote this listening to Gorillaz: 68 state, and blur vs Gorillaz ( Blurillaz) and... Experimentation from Timesplitters : Future perfect.

But let me know what you thought, it would be greatly appreciated.

Truly. And as always, thanks for reading.
