Odd was at the prom. No date, nobody liked him. Jeremy liked Aelita, so if he took her, it would not turn out well. Sissi was going with the new kid Hugh. And Ulrich was going with Yumi.
"Hey." Aelita said. "Hey." Odd responded. "I thought you were going with Jeremy."
"Yeah, and he's buying that girl punch because it's National Punch Day." Aelita said sarcastically. "He dumped you?" "Yep."
The next song started, and Odd and Aelita decided to dance.
