I gazed up at the sky like a canvas painted black and scattered with light white lights. Stole the little breath that I had. Hazelly, I blinked at the sight. Might be the last thing that I saw, I mused drunkenly. Weakly, I reached a hand to the stars, somewhere deep, hoping that they would reach back and take me away from this hellhole.

Oh how Mother must be turning in her new grave. The lulling of the waves steadied the beating of my heart. I could hear it in my ears. Softly the water licked at my fingers. I wonder how it feels about something foreign within its territory, must feel invaded. I sighed and rested my hand back down onto the board. I was so tired, I could barely keep my eyes open. But it was the fear that kept them open. Fear that I would go to sleep and wake up back in that chaos.

A solitary tear welled up in my eyes. Holding all the emotions I once held. I felt it roll down my cheek leaving a trail. Only to join the salty water of the sea.

Finally, I gave into the weariness that gripped me tightly. Tenderly, my eyes closed. I gave my fate to the sea, let it decide what to have of me. Maybe, just maybe, I will see Mother.

Hiccup yawned and set down his tools to stretch the ache in his muscles. Hours of sitting was taking its toll, so the young Viking decided that it would be the perfect time to go and check on his bride to be. The chair slid across the floor with a squeal. "Hey Toothless, I am going to see Astrid, behave will you?" He yawns to the lounging Night Fury. In reply, Toothless gave his rider a bloop.

Hiccup rolled his eyes and walked out of his hut, making his way to the blonde warrior. He paused though to take in the scene of his home. The day was nice, clouds shaded them from the sun, a simple breeze brought them the smell of the seasonal flowers. Hiccup could hear the calls of various dragons, the lapping waves, and the sound of an approaching Terrible Terror. What a nice day.

"Wait what?!" Too late. The messenger terror collided with Hiccup, causing him to fall to the ground. He coughed and pushed the dragon off his chest, "What in the Archipelago has gotten into you Swifty?" The little emerald dragon cooed and rubbed his head on the dragon rider's hand. Hiccup scratched his chin with a smile, then noticed the letter tied to the terror's leg. He tugged on the string allowing the scroll to fall into his hand.

Hiccup pointed toward the stables, "Should be an opened pen with food. Good ahead and help yourself." With a zip, the little dragon was gone. Hiccup unraveled the scroll and scanned over the words. Only to have his breath taken away.

"Everyone up! We need to get to Berk!" He screamed, the team popping out of their huts with sleepy looks.

"What the heck is the matter," Snotlout grumbled while rubbing his eyes.

"I'll tell you on the way. We need to get moving, now!"
