When Azula was very little, she would crawl under the skirt of an armchair whenever she felt overwhelmed, shooting curls of flame at the feet of anyone who walked by. If this happened when Ty Lee was around, the other girl would always climb in next to her and distract her, taking her hands and doing things with them- forcing her to learn some silly clapping game, tracing messages on her palms and making her guess what she was saying, or just holding them while she chattered on about something that Azula didn't care about. Azula wasn't stupid- she knew that Ty Lee was just trying to keep her hands busy so she wouldn't make any more servants shriek in surprise or gasp in pain (even though, Azula thought, it was sort of funny- and it always made her feel better). Still, she didn't really mind. Ty Lee's method usually ended up making her feel better, too.
