Dear Ladybug,
It's been years. I miss you. All of you. Your kind spirit, humor, and the way you held yourself. I still think back to that day we defeated Hawk Moth.
You stood there, so unafraid as you faced down the two villains. I admired the way you led the rest of us, so confidently against Mayura and Hawk Moth. Nerves gripped us all, but you were the one who rallied us and built up our courage. You were the one that demanded the two villains give up their miraculouses. And you were the one that fought fearlessly, even though you knew the risks.
You put up with me for eight long years. My stupid jokes, endless flirting, all of me. And I know you doubted it at times, but I loved you. Even when I found out who you really were, I loved you. Both sides of you were amazing and unique.
I still can't believe you loved me back. I still can't believe you accepted me despite everything I was. You gave me the love I lacked and showed me the kindness of my mother. You risked your life to save all of ours.
I remember looking into your eyes, that very first day we met when I literally fell for you. Sweet bluebell eyes. Even though you had just started out, I saw the potential in you. You nearly gave up. But I knew you were ready to do this. And you have done your job so well. Every day, I thanked the world for the opportunity to run and save the day by your side, as your partner and friend.
You never judged me. You lifted me up when I was broken, you encouraged me when I was scared. You always loved me for me, whether romantically or as a friend. And now I don't know what I will do without you.
You're my world. And my world has come crashing down. I hope you'll forgive me for everything. Your love was the only thing I ever wanted, and I screwed up so many times.
But you still loved me. And I love you. I miss you. I want you. Come back to me, M'lady. Please.
Love,

Adrien signs his name, tears brimming at the edges of his eyes. Quietly, he places it into an empty white envelope.
He looks at the box next to him and drops the note inside. Then he turns to face the coffin. Carefully, he places a bloodred rose with the rest of the bouquet on top of the coffin.
He can't help it. He tries to stand but collapses against the tombstone. He cries and cries, tears flooding out like a rainstorm. His wails echo around the graveyard.
As time passes, he slowly pulls himself together. He grips the tombstone so hard his knuckles turn white.
Here lies Marinette Dupain Cheng, beloved wife, mother, and heroine Ladybug.
Adrien trembles, but manages to hold back the tears. He stands and plants a single kiss atop the gravestone, then softly leaves.
