Kingdom Hearts - High School Musical

NEW YEAR'S EVE:

"This could be the start

Of something new

It feels so right

To be here with you, Oh

And now looking in your eyes

I feel in my heart

The start of something new"

Troy, smiling, leans over.

Troy: (Reaches out hand) I'm Troy.

Gabriella: (Shakes Troy's hand) Gabriella.

FADE OUT.

ON THE GUMMI SHIP:

Sora: So where to next?

Donald: (On the main controls) Hm, it says here that our next destination is in East High School.

Goofy: (Gasp) East High School? The land of High School Musical?

Donald: Looks like it!

Sora: Land of High School Musical?

Donald: Yes! I said looks like it!

Sora: Okay, okay!

Donald: (Jumping and kicking randomly in the air) I can't wait to kick some butts over there! (Accidently kicking Goofy on his butt)

Goofy: (Jumps up) Ouch!

Sora: Let's get going!

FADE OUT.

IN MS. DARBUS' CLASSROOM:

Ms. Darbus: Detention, detention, detention! Holidays are over, people. Way over!

Out of nowhere, Sora, Donald, and Goofy fall into the classroom.

Everyone stares at them.

Sora: (Rubs his head) Where are we?

Ms. Darbus: (Frustrated) DETENTION!

Sora, Donald, and Goofy: (Shocked) Detention?!

DETENTION ROOM:

Troy and Chad, plus Sora, Donald, and Goofy in a tree.

Troy: So, are you guys new to school or something?

Donald: (Laughing) New to school? Ha ha. You're funny, boy. We're here to save the world! To kill some heartless and seal the door to darkness!

Troy and Chad look at each other thinking these guys are weird.

Troy: Ha ha. No, you're funny! There's no such thing as heartless or even doors to darkness around here. The only heartless here are Sharpay and Ryan Evans. And doors to darkness? Are you talking about detention? (laughs)

Chad: (Laughing, high fives Troy) Nice one!

Sora: But we're telling the truth! You guys are in danger!

Troy: That's ridiculous. Just start making trees, okay? Staple this leaf right here. (Points at a spot)

Donald shoots a staple at Troy.

Troy: Ouch!

FADE OUT.

In the gym, where Troy is alone. Looks like he's having some personal matters on hold.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy go to him.

Sora: What's the matter, Troy?

Donald: Hmp, let him solve it alone. It's none of our business!

Sora and Goofy: (Hits Donald) Donald!

Donald: (Snaps) What was that for?!

Sora: I'm sorry for Donald's behavior. He's very…Donald-like. Hope you don't mind.

Donald: Donald-like, what?! (Goofy covers Donald's mouth with his hands)

Troy: I'm very confused.

Sora: Confused about what?

Troy: Her name is Gabriella.

Goofy: (Gets close to Sora whispering) Ooh, someone's in love…

Sora: (Pushes Goofy away) What about her?

Troy: I like her a lot…

Sora: And..?

Troy: I want to sing with her, but…

Sora: But..?

Troy: My dad and my friends…they would never approve me of singing.

Sora: Whether they approve it or not, it's not their choice. It's yours. Follow what your heart tells you. I'm sure whatever you choose, your friends and family will support you, I promise.

Troy: You're right! It's not what everybody else thinks. It's what I think and I'm going to go for it! I'm going to sing with Gabriella! Thank you, Sora!

Troy exits the gym.

Goofy: Right on!

FADE OUT.

Students and teachers scream.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy run in.

Sora: What's going on?

Chad: There are big black spiders everywhere!

Goofy: They're not spiders! They're heartless!

Everyone: Heartless?!

Donald: (To Troy, angrily) I told you we're not lying!

Troy: I'm sorry! Please help! They took Gabriella!

Sora: Where did they go?

Troy: The theater room! They said they'll be at the theater room!

Sora: Come on, let's go!

Sora, Donald, and Goofy start to leave.

Everyone: (Screams) Wait!

They stop.

Chad: At least kill those big spiders before you leave!

Sora, Donald, and Goofy: Oh yeah, almost forgot.

They take out their weapons and are about to fight when…

Ms. Darbus: No! There is absolutely no fighting in school!

Everyone: Ms. Darbus!

Ms. Darbus: Rules are rules. We cannot violate the school rules! Especially not in my presence!

Everyone knows what each other is thinking. Smiling, they take Ms. Darbus away, making her unable to see the fight.

Ms. Darbus: Hey, hey. What are you guys doing?

Ms. Darbus is gone.

Donald: (eagerly) Can we fight yet?

Troy: She's gone. Start fighting now!

Sora: Finally!

They start fighting, killing every one of the heartless.

FADE OUT.

IN THE THEATER ROOM:

There are many heartless surrounding Gabriella. Sharpay and Ryan are also there but seems like they're possessed by some kind of a monster.

Troy: (Runs in) Gabriella!

Gabriella: Troy, save me!

Sharpay: (Deep mysterious voice) I've been waiting for you, Sora.

Sora: Give Gabriella back!

Donald: (Giggles) Fighting a girl? This will be easy!

Ryan: Who said anything about fighting?

Sora, Donald, and Goofy: (Confused, jaws drop) Huh?

Sharpay: This is High School Musical, we sing, not fight.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy: Sing?!

Ryan: Sing and dance.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy: Sing and dance?!

Sharpay: Sora, you and I will have a musical battle! (Mwuahaha) I finally have a talent you don't have, Sora! You will be toasted!

Troy: Oh no he won't, because I'm going to sing with him!

Donald: (Pokes Troy) You mean sing and dance.

Troy: Yeah! Sing and dance!

Sora: No way! I can't sing nor dance. I can't do this.

Troy: Yes you can! Follow my lead. I'll show you.

Sharpay: Let the show begin!

Sora: (Gets a microphone) Okay, it's now or never!

Sharpay and Ryan: (Puts their hands out as in to say stop) Hold on!

Sharpay and Ryan do their warming up sound they always do before singing.

Sharpay and Ryan: Bru bru bru mah mah mah! Bru bru mah mah!

Sora and Troy look at each other.

Sora and Troy: (Shrugs) Bru bru bru mah mah mah! Bru bru mah mah!

Sharpay: Now we can start.

Sharpay and Ryan: (Dancing) Bop bop bop bop to the top!

Sora and Troy fly up into the air, injured.

Sora and Troy: (Not dancing) Bop bop bop bop to the top!

Nothing happened.

Sharpay and Ryan: (Dancing) Bop to the top!

They fly up even harder this time.

Sora and Troy: (Not dancing) Bop to the top!

Nothing happened once again.

Troy: I don't get it. Why won't anything happen?

Sora starts dancing and singing "Bop To the Top" and Sharpay and Ryan fly up into the air.

Sora: (Shocked) I did it!

Troy: Oh, I get it! We have to sing and dance in order for it to work! We weren't dancing!

Sora and Troy: (Looks at each other smiling, dancing and singing) Bop to the top!

Sharpay and Ryan fly up…

Sharpay and Ryan: (Dancing) Bop to the top!

Sora and Troy fly up…

Sora and Troy: (Dancing) Bop to the top!

Sharpay and Ryan fly up…

Sharpay and Ryan: (mad, dancing) Bop to the top!

Sora and Troy fly up…

Everyone in the audience watches as they bounce up and down.

Chad: Are they just bopping to the top?

Sora: (Up in the air) It's no use. We're going nowhere!

Troy: Well we're going up…

Sora: (Frustrated, singing) I just want to bop to the bottom!

At that moment, Sora and Troy bop to the bottom.

Troy: (Excitedly) I get it now! So the game works by singing and dancing but whatever we sing will come true!

Sora and Troy: (Looks at each other, smiling) Bop to be gone!

Sharpay and Ryan start to fade, along with the heartless.

Sharpay: (Screaming) Ahhh! How can we be defeated at our own game? You won't be so lucky next time, you 3 idiots…(Disappears)

Donald: (Chuckles) Ha ha 3 idiots? Who the heck is she talking about? Ha ha (Stops) Wait! She's not talking about us 3, right? (Looks at Goofy) Oh, no she didn't! Come back here! Who are you calling idiots! (Goes to the spot where Sharpay and Ryan disappeared but Goofy grabs him)

Sora and Troy: We did it!

Crowd cheers.

Gabriella: Troy!

Troy: Gabriella!

Troy and Gabriella run to each other and hug.

Troy: I was very worried about you, Gabriella. But I guess we're breaking free?

Gabriella nods happily.

Donald: (Confused) Um, breaking free?

Troy and Gabriella suddenly sing "Breaking Free", startling Donald. The crowd cheers and is enjoying every moment of it. The song ends as Troy and Gabriella kiss under the beautiful stage lights.

Goofy: Aw, what a happy ending.

Troy: It's not over yet. We have one more very important musical to perform.

Sora: (Hesitates) Oh no, we're not singing and dancing alone again…

Troy: (Interrupts) Not alone, together.

Sora, Donald and Goofy: Huh?

Everyone: (Shouts) We're all in this together!

Everyone dances and sings "We're All In This Together." Sora, Donald and Goofy is having so much fun that they forget to seal the door to darkness…

Will they have to save the musical again? We'll just have to wait and see!
