'She's Pretty'
"I'm sorry for having to interrupt..." The seventh graders looked up from their assignment expecting a comment from Mrs. Murawski. The voice, however, did not belong to their Science teacher, but to none other than Principal Milder, a cup of coffee in hand. She cleared her throat, "But today, you guys will have a new student!"
With those words, the class exchanged glances and started to whisper.
"Are they nice?"
"Is it a boy or a girl? I hope it's a girl! There's too many boys in this class..."
"What if it's a guy from the Lumberzacks?"
"In your dreams, Carol. Stop fangirling over them!"
"Ha, what would they think of the Murphy kid?"
The Murphy kid, himself, was also curious. 'What would they think of me?' he wondered. Only one person has genuinely wanted to befriend him from the beginning and Milo was very thankful for that. Perhaps, this mysterious person would want to befriend him as well!
"Ahem. Anywho, meet Amanda Lopez."
The so-called Amanda walked into the room and the class started to examine her. Dark brown-ish hair, a tan complexion, big dark eyes, probably Spanish, really likes magenta (according to her outfit), holding a planner…
"She's pretty," Melissa whispered to Milo. He took a look at her again.
'She is pretty.' That thought made his cheeks flush just the tiniest bit. A girl's beauty has barely crossed his mind before. He felt embarrassed thinking about it.
"...And it looks like you agree," Melissa chuckled softly.
"Wait, what?"
