"No thanks, Al. I'd like to spend this Christmas alone, if you don't mind."
"UUUGGHHH, that's what you say EVERY year, man! C'moooonn, get outta your comfort zone! There's tons of cake, and other food too and stuff!" Yelled the American in the other end of the line.
"I have enough time out of my comfort zone everyday of my life. Just give me Christmas to relax, eh?"
*knock knock knock knock*
"Huh?"
"What's up, Mattie?"
"Thought I heard knocking... Must be Kuma."
*Constant knocking*
"I'm gonna have to call you back Al. Someone's at the door... Okay, bye. Merry Christmas!" Matthew then hung up, racing to the door. Even on Christmas, it was rare for someone to knock. Maybe the Caroler's noticed the house for once? He opened the door, and there stood someone completely unexpected. Someone the Canadian had a huge crush on.
"Gil? What are you doing outside in the cold like that? Come in, come in. Settle down in the living room." Said the Canadian, as he pried off the Prussians ice-cold coat. "Sorry about the weather. It's pretty cold up here this time around."
"Nein. It's okay." Gilbert replied.
"So, what brings you to my home?" Matthew finally said once hot chocolate and pancakes were served. And also after they had a good laugh about what was probably going on at Alfred's party. (((*cough* Usuk fluff and lemons *cough*)))
"Vell, duuhhh, vhy do you zhink? It's Christmas! Und no one should be alone on Christmas. Especially jou, Birdie." Gilbert said, instantly blushing once he realized what came out of his mouth. "Ah, vait! Nein, I didn't mean- uh, vell, you see- I, uh..." The Prussian's voice trailed off with his face turning as bright as a tomato. He turned his head, too embarrassed to make eye-contact. When he snuck a peek, he found Mathew beaming at him, blush all across his face, with a single tear running down his cheek.
"Merci, Gilbert. Merci. I don't think I could ever repay you for this wonderful time."
"Vhat? Vhy vould jou van't to repay me?" Gilbert thought for a moment, "Actually, zhere is somezhing jou could do..." The Canadian cocked his head to one side, confused. "Close jour eyes, birdie." Matthew did so, hesitantly.
He waited for something to happen. Nothing did. Though he could still feel Gilbert's warmth next to him, so he hadn't moved anywhere. He was about to open his eyes to say something when a pair of lips silenced everything he was going to say. Matthew was surprised at first, but soon after he melted into the kiss. When they both pulled away (regrettably) for air, blushes ran across both their faces. It was then Matthew saw Gilbert's arm raised up high, and in between his fingers, was a dangling mistletoe.
And after making out on the couch while watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the two lovers took it to a room where certain 'regions' were invaded.
