RWBY Chapter 1:

Just another Morning

The day began like any other for Team RWBY, with Ruby Rose shouting into her megaphone to wake everyone up. Each of the other three members of RWBY had various responses. Blake Belladonna jumped up and clung to the underside of Yang's bed as her four ears, two Faunus and two human, took the booming noise the harshest. Weiss fell out of bed in a startled panic. While Yang, being Yang, simply rolled over in her bed, her snoring telling everyone that she was still snoozing.

"Ruby," Weiss scolded, "We need to have a serious talk about how your sister can sleep the sleep of the dead with your racket every morning,"

"Sure thing Partner!" Ruby stated in her usual cheery mood, "I'll just add it to the list of things we will never know,"

"Like?" Weiss questioned as she dust herself off.

"How you fight in those high heels for starters," Blake pointed out demurely as she unhooked herself of the underside of Yang's bed and regained her composure.

"Years of training," Weiss started proudly, but Ruby wasn't convinced.

"Nope, not buying it, those things nearly killed my feet at the dance, and I wasn't even dancing!"

"To be fair Ruby," Blake stated as she gathered up her cloths and walked off to get dressed in the adjoining bathroom to their dorm, "You're very tomboyish,"

"True," Ruby wouldn't deny it.

"Anyway," Weiss said to get them back on track, "How does your sister sleep through everything,"

Ruby gave a snort-like laugh "Come on Weiss, she doesn't sleep through everything!"

"What about the time Velvet was tinkering with her weapon in the morning and it blew up," Weiss pointed out.

"It was across the dorm," Ruby said confidently.

"The shockwave shattered our window!" Weiss shout incredulously.

"It was a quick blast of sound Weiss, so it didn't rile her up enough," Ruby pointed out.

"Okay, what about the time Team CRDL thought it would be funny to pull the fire alarm at three in the morning?' Weiss suggested, "The alarms where blaring for five minutes straight!"

"The alarms didn't sound that loud to me," Ruby pointed out as Blake reemerged from the bathroom fully dressed and with a cup of water in her hands. She walked up to her and Yang's bunk-bed and climbed up before pouring the cup over Yang's head.

Nothing happened.

"Is that proof enough Ruby?" Blake asked as she climbed down.

"Look girls, Yang wakes up at her own time," Ruby said before a thought came to her, "But I do know a way to wake her up!"

Weiss and Blake watched in confusion as Ruby rummaged through her drawers and produced a pair of scissors. The red themed girl simply gave the scissors a twirl before opening and closing them rapidly. The sound of the metal clicking caused Yang, still unconscious, to sniff the air like an animal, she then started sweating as she muttered out loud, "N-No daddy, I-I'll behave, please, no, no, no, please no, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

The blonde bolted upright and clung her long, unruly hair protectively, her eyes shifting left and right in a feverous attempt to find the culprit. She noticed Ruby holding the scissors and panicked. She fell off of her bed and crawled under Blake's bed, all the while muttering in a crazed mantra that she'd behave.

Blake and Weiss turned their gazes from the deranged Blonde and looked at Ruby who was twirling the scissors merrily with a smile on her face.

Blake simply nodded her head in approval, while Weiss muttered, "I'm part of a strange team,"
