A note from Seraphina Pyra: This is just a little almost drabble that I dedicate to Kaylee. I was inspired when I was eating a bowl of strawberries while watching Serenity.
Strawberry Ecstasy
The beautiful heart-shaped fruit,
held daintily between finger and thumb
cool and fresh it stains my lips red
One joyous bite
into the red flesh sprinkled with seeds
releases the flavour and juices are freed.
Pouring out, one bit dribbles along the side of my finger
and slowly caresses my knuckles, then…
is caught before it drops, scooped up into my mouth by the tip of my tongue.
Flavour exploding in one moment of strawberry ecstasy.
