Blessed Exile By: Zidane's Dagger

A/N: This is going to seem a little like Phantom of the Opera, but hey, this is a fanfic, I'm not saying I own it. I'm just letting out small thoughts. I don't own FF8, Squaresoft, or Phantom of the Opera, so uh...don't hurt me. oO

Prologue

Some things are just unexplainable, you know what I mean, right? Well, if you think about this, it's an unusual thing to happen around here.

I'm Quezacotl, a rather low-status girl. But there are things about me that make me unusual. Like one thing, my long metallic-green hair, another, few green and gold scales on my arms, and chest-neck area, as odd as this may seem, solid-emerald colored eyes, strangely pointed ears, and small fangs. Although my looks are strange, my size and build are pretty average, and take form of a young girl. I look weak and innocent, but you know, looks can be deceiving. If you would really like to know, there is one other detail I left out. It's that whenever my feelings are set on one particular mood, this green energy forms tiny sparks and illumination around me. It's part of the beginning of my blooming thunder spirit. Soon, the force will strengthen and I'll be another target the royalty will be hunting down. They call us sin? Well, if that was the truth then why do they seek these powers? Yeah, that's what I thought, they're just minds filled with too much greed and narcissism.

I walked around the sakura garden near the royal palace. Japan has changed from a very uncivilized area, but is now the most elegant island, so elegant that people want to take it as their own. The goldfish pond had beautiful scarlet roses, and cerulean violets perched upon the clear, fresh water surface. The grand goldfish slowly stirred through the serene water. As the garden goes on, the pond forms into a small stream that flows through the peaceful court with a small bridge arching over the running water. The garden was successive in every way. The looks of the flora, the feeling of the calm breeze, smell of the flowered scents, the sound of a streaming waterway, and the taste of the crisp air... The sensation of just being there was so relaxing; it felt as if you were in heavenly thought, a blissful dream. The jade colored cloak I wore absorbed any divine senses, and that's how I am formed into an innocent-looking entity. If my life was a living nightmare, I would be in true form, a thunder goddess with heavy wings, intricate symbols, and the blazing texture of scale-reminiscent membrane. Good thing I bring heaven-like fundamentals to the fateful earth.

SLAM!

"Ugh," I gasped.

Guards... They really do hate people like me; trespassers. If they are even planning on captivating me, they should, at least, make those fortress doors a little less thunderous. Heh, "thunderous". My feet were removed from the grassy earth, commenced of boosting myself off the ground. I "gracefully" found a sturdy branch in a sakura tree; my balance wasn't quite...perfect.

"Hm...nothing," The low voice of a guard muttered. "You," He said to an entrance guard. "Check back in a half-hour."

"Sure, sure..." The entrance individual implied the sarcasm in his voice.

A beam slowly crept upon my inadequate lips. They'll never get me, I swear. I leaned up against the stalk and quietly hummed an eccentric tune.

Won't you be surprised to hear that I'm not the blessed exile of this story...?

A/N: Lol, my friend said that after the first ten sentences, it's like it became another language. I cheated, and used a thesaurus, hehehe!! I'm not smart enough to know all these words.
