She woke to the smell of fresh coffee. For a moment she was confused, she couldn't remember setting the automatic brew last night.

But then she remembered.

A dinner date with her parents followed by them going home together. Cuddles on the couch that quickly turned passionate kisses that tasted of rum and leather. His tongue sliding against hers slowly. How sexy he looked with red swollen lips and his hair completely disheveled. Unable to hold back any longer she took his hand and led him to her bedroom.

Their clothes were strewn carelessly on every viable surface. His calloused hands trailing over every inch of her skin. His warm body pressed tightly up against hers. It had been utter bliss. She couldn't help but smile at the sheer ridiculousness of the thought. If she would have told herself that eventually the Captain Hook of legend would be her lover she would have called herself crazy.

Then just before she fell asleep he leaned over and kissed her forehead and softly whispered, "I love you." Her heart fluttered in her chest.

He loved her. Sure, she'd guessed a long time ago, but the confirmation of it was wondrous. She couldn't help but grin stupidly as she stepped out of the bed and grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of pajama pants.

When she came into the kitchen, Killian was standing behind the counter with a hot cup of coffee.

"Good morning, love."

"Is that for me?"

"Aye," he answered and then gave her a soft kiss on the cheek. "I'm making those tossed eggs too. Hopefully you are hungry."

"They are called scrambled eggs," she laughed as she sat down at the table.

"So last night was a success, aye?"

Her eyes widened.

"I meant the supper with your parents," he replied with a wink as he joined her at the table with the fresh eggs he'd prepared.

"Yes, to both," she teased as she brushed her knee against his. "But in all seriousness I do think you really impressed my parents."

He nodded appreciatively. "That game we played was interesting."

"Hey, charades is a classic! It's not my fault you suck at it."

He laughed easily as he bumped her back. His blue eyes met hers with an intensity that nearly knocked the breath out of her chest.

"Swan," he whispered. "Did you hear what I said to you last night?"

She bit her lip flirtatiously. "When you asked me to call you Captain?"

"No," he answered.

"Yes," she replied back.

"And what do you think?"

She reached across the table and planted a soft kiss on his knuckles. "I love you too," she answered.
