Another original "Jay-Jay" story, this time it's "Orland and Savannah" Enjoy and comment.

The airplanes at Terrytown Airport were excited. Savannah, the supersonic airplane was coming home after a business trip across Europe.

But the most excited of all was Orland. He hadn't seen Savannah in a while.

"I can't wait to see her!" exclamed Orland.

"Remember Orland." said Old Oscar. "We don't want to bother Savannah that much. She's just coming back from Europe, and she wants to get lots of rest."

But Orland didn't listen. He wanted to see Savannah.

Savannah arrived home late that night, when all the other planes were sleeping.

But Orland wasn't sleeping. As soon as he heard Savannah land, he raced over to see her.

"Hi Savannah! How was your trip across Europe?"

"Orland, can I get a little rest? I had a long journey." said Savannah tiredly.

"But I want to know about Europe. Is it a wonderful place like Terrytown?"

"It's a continent Orland, not a place! Now, can I get some sleep?"

"How many countries did you visit?"
"Orland, please! I need to get some sleep!"
"But I want to know about Europe!"

Now Savannah was beginning to lose it.

"Orland! You need to be sleeping! I don't want to talk about now!"

"Fine!" snapped Orland. "You don't want to tell me about Europe, you just want to get some sleep! You are the stupidest airplane in Terrytown! I hate you!"

And Orland zoomed back to his hangar.

Savannah was very upset, and quietly went back to her hangar. She felt like crying, and that's exactly what she did when she arrived in her hangar, she cried in fact all night.

The next morning. Orland zoomed over to Savannah's hanger.

"Hi Savannah! Want to play?"

But Savannah was cross.

"Those were some very mean things you said last night. I know you just want to hang out with me, but those things you did last night were too much for me to handle. I have decided to leave Terrytown."

Orland was surprised.

"I didn't mean what I said!" sputtered Orland. "I just wanted to know about your trip across Europe, and you wouldn't tell me. That made me very upset."

"And you made me upset when you said I was stupid. I cried all night last night!"

Now Orland felt sorry for Savannah.

"I don't want you to leave! I take back what I said last night! I didn't mean to say those things. And in my opinion, I think you are the smartest airplane in Terrytown."

This made Savannah smile.

"Is that what you really think?" asked Savannah.

"Yes indeed." said Orland.

"Thank you Orland. I'm sorry if I was mean to you last night. So do you want to know about my trip?"

"Oh yes please!"

And so Savannah told Orland about her Europe trip. Orland had learned that being kind is the right thing to do.
