Heya folks... No, it's not a new chapter of "Blood of Life" yet, sorry... I have to wait for that particular muse to come back. As I said on my profile page, a lot has happened, and I'm still recovering amidst health problems. I WILL finish the story. But for now, I have to exercise my inspiration with whatever happens to come my way.
With romances, I'm pretty neutral. I don't care what genders are involved, as long as it's consensual and not graphic. The "Hetalia" series is amazing in that it's full of ambiguous relationships between countries, which can be of any nature you want, interchangeable or fluid.
When it comes to Italy and Germany, my head-canon considers them friends, and all their slashable situations make for comedy. However, I'm very much not against them being seen as a couple, either, and am willing to dabble in both aspects of fandom. Especially since I have stock in the Germany-is-HRE theory. This poem randomly flowed from me, so I wrote it as it went.
Awaiting What We Have
One day around today,
He hears Italy say,
"Germany, why do you never smile?"
And Germany replies
With low, averted eyes,
"I do... It just has been a while."
The Mediterranean
Takes the northern's hands.
"It's good for you, you should do it; please try!"
His face contorts and twists,
But tight remains his lips.
"There's no need for it now. Some other time."
The blond, with effort, states,
With blushing reddened face,
"Most times I feel a bit too incomplete...
"As if I..." Hesitating.
"Like part of me is waiting
"For an unfinished puzzle's final piece."
Italy's grin becomes
Wistful, and he hums,
"Mmm hmm... I think I understand...
"I wait for someone too...
"He looks a lot like you."
His grip gently increases on his hands.
The blonde, of course, is tense,
Then lowers his defense,
And finds himself remaining in his grip.
"We just might wait forever,
"But we can wait together."
...Unknown reunion waiting on their lips...
Yeah, I left the last stanza ambiguous, both in who spoke, and in whether an action was taken or not. Interpret it how ever you like. :3
