The morning sunlight beamed inside through the drapes into the split bedroom. Edward Nigma yawned and his eyes fluttered open softly. He rubbed the sleep from his features and stretched quietly.
That's when he noticed two things; His partner in crime and lover wasn't sleeping next to him, and there was a delicious aroma coming from the hallway. Edward licked his lips and grabbed the nearest shirt, which just so happened to be the button-up dress shirt his lover was wearing the night before.
He loved how the older male's clothes were always a bit too big for him, it made him feel... comfortable. Sometimes he'd settle for just an over-sized shirt than one of his skin-tight catsuits.
He bottoned up the shirt, leaving one or two unbuttoned at the top, and almost bounced through the hallway, following the scent that eventually led him into the kitchen.
There he found his lover, Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent, setting the table for breakfast.
Harvey smiled lightly when he saw the ginger-haired man, emerald eyes sparkling and stomach growling ever so slightly.
"It's about time you woke up, I was about to start eating without you." Harvey said teasingly, setting a fresh plate of hash browns onto the table. He noticed Edward's attire and looked at him suggestively.
Eddie looked down briefly before looking back into those mismatched eyes, his smile still in place. "What? It's comfy. A better question would be, since when can you, Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent, COOK?" He questioned, looking over at the table full of breakfast food; pancakes, toast, bacon, sausage links, eggs, the whole shibang.
Though the sight only made him even more starving, so instead of waiting for the burned man's response Eddie brushed past him, grabbed a plate and started to fill it with food.
Harvey just chuckled and filled his plate too. Edward set the plate down in front of his usual spot in the kitchen, the seat across from his love. He then hopped over to the counter to get himself a cup of coffee.
For some reason, he always liked his coffee to be more, half coffee, half cream-and-sugar. Maybe that's what made him so hyper. It would make sense, considering Harv's never nearly that energetic, and he drinks his coffee black. Eddie made a face of disgust at the thought, he could never drink black coffee, WAY too bitter.
He made his coffee in his favorite mug (neon green with black poorly-painted question marks all over it) and went to go enjoy his breakfast. Harvey had already began to chow down, not stuffing his face or anything, he may have gotten half his face burned off, but he still acts as a gentleman. Sometimes.
The Ginger set his mug next to his plate and sat down, every once in a while eyeing the man across from him.
Harvey smirked and swallowed another piece of pancake. "What?"
"You seriously made this?"
"Yeah."
"I don't believe you. It's too yummy to be your cooking."
The taller male smirked again and rolled his eyes, returning his attention to the rest of his breakfast.
Edward pouted a bit at the loss of his lover's attention, but then a small smile made it's way onto his face as he took another bite of his meal.
The green-eyed man loved mornings like this, where he could just relax and not have to really think about anything other than his lover being with him. No traps, no heists, no Asylum, and especially no Batman.
He loved Saturdays.
