"Imagine me and you, I do
I think about you day and night, it's only right
To think about the girl you love and hold her tight
So happy together…"

Roy stared absentmindedly out of the window, ignoring the large mound of paperwork piled to the ceiling in front of him. His radio was on softly, but he could just about hear the music piping from the radio in front of him. The song was unknown to him – he wondered just how long it had been playing for. Not long, he reasoned – there hadn't appeared to be a chorus yet.

For some odd reason, his thoughts turned to his subordinate sitting only metres from him. She was hard at work, her pen scratching away productively, and he was reminded that he had to do the paperwork.

"Hawkeye?"

She looked up, her attention momentarily drawn away from the work in front of her.

"Yes, Colonel?"

He momentarily lost his train of thought, for no apparent reason. His mind scrabbled around for a few seconds, then returned to the song.

"If I should call you up, invest a dime
And you say you belong to me and ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be, so very fine
So happy together…"

"Have you heard this song before?"

She paused, listening intently to the music, and Roy took the opportunity to study her face. It wasn't the sort of face he found attractive usually – Havoc would point out that he found other women's faces attractive only if they were other men's women – but he suddenly found himself blushing. Riza looked back at him just as his face was burning deep crimson.

"Sir? Are you alright?"

"I can't see me lovin' nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me, baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life…"

"Yes Riza. Never better."

A/N Dear God, could it be a piece of writing?!

R&R, please. Reviews make me feel warm and squishy. But nice ones. And I know it's short. Much like a certain alchemist.

I don't own FMA, or the song "So Happy Together" which, incidentally, is by The Turtles (or something to that effect.)
