Hidden Talent
Blaine sighed, adjusting in the uncomfortable seats of the theatre. "Wes, why are we here? This place is a dump, there's no way anyone with talent would be here." He hissed, glaring at his friend. Wes shot him a dazzling smile, patting his shoulder encouragingly.
"Just trust me, okay? Auditions like these are the easiest way to find hidden talent." Wes assured him as a guy about their age stepped onto the stage. Blaine and Wes shrank down in their seats as the auditions began.
Three hours later, Blaine was rubbing his temples and Wes had his head in his hands. "Shoot me, please." Blaine begged, standing and gathering his things.
"Wait, wait! Tell me auditions aren't over yet!" Called a guy, running up to the man who was running the auditions. They talked for a minute, and Wes and Blaine shared a look. Wes shrugged and Blaine roled his eyes and sat back down. He was typing some choice words to David for sending them here when he heard the guy's voice. He shot to his feet, running down the staris to the main floor and standing in the back of the theatre.
It was impossible to look away from the chestmut-haired beauty. Blaine stared in awe at the guy, amazed at the counter-tenor voice coming from him. The song ended and the man left the stage, grabbing his shoulder bag in the process.
"Excuse me, sir! Sir!" Blaine followed, breathtaken by the full-on view of the guy. "My name is Blaine Anderson, I work for-"
"The Crystal Warblers recording company. I've heard of you. Everyone says you're the toughest in town." The guy said. "I'm Kurt Hummel. What do you want, Mr. Anderson?"
"I'm looking to recruit you. Your voice is good, and you don't have a scarcity of looks. I want you to come in, record a demo, and I'll give it to my boss and see if he likes it." Blaine said, pulling a business card out of the inside pocket of his blazer and handing it to him.
"We can talk more tomorrow night over dinner, if you'd like." Kurt said, sliding the card into his pocket.
"Bella Noche at eight?" Blaine asked. Kurt smiled, nodding and giving Blaine his own card before exiting the theatre. Blaine smiled, putting the card in his jacket pocket and sauntering merrily to his car where David was already waiting.
