Shadow cat

Kagome walked down a leaf-covered path in the park. It was late fall, the weather was cool sending an unsuspecting shiver down her spine. The sun was setting sending off a red glow, attempting to cover the darkness. She stopped under a tree that still had most of its leaves and sat down to think. "How can it be so easy to forget the worth of one person?" She said pulling her knees up to her chest to comfort herself. Resting her head on her arms, she thought of the past. The leaves seemed to jump down and land beside her; a single tear ran down her cheek.

(Flashback)
"No! Stop it! Stop it now! Please don't do it"
"Shut up wench" with that a hand came full force down onto her face.
(End Flashback)

A harsh cry of a crow snapped her from her painful daydream. "He say he still loves me." She whispered. Now silent tears were streaming down her face. Reaching into her pocket, pulling out a locket, and holding it lovingly in the palms of her hands.

It was 12:30 by the time Kagome decided to go home. She lived in a two-story apartment on the outskirts of town. She had just been living there for about three weeks, and had just enrolled in the closest high school.

"Well I better be going to bed. School starts tomorrow."
