Jack will - and has - gone through hell to re-possess one ship.

ooooo

For wanting of a ship - I ran afoul of a ranking naval officer who knew too much about me.

For wanting of a ship - I incurred the hatred of an authority head for threatening his spirited daughter.

For wanting of a ship - I made a foolish accord with a love-sick blacksmith.

For wanting of a ship - I stole myself another one and went off to seek cursed gold.

For wanting of a ship - I parleyed with a treacherous man I had sworn one day to kill.

For wanting of a ship - I drank myself into a stupor and slept while the rum burned.

For wanting of a ship - I surrendered myself to the hangman's noose.

For wanting of a ship - I saved my heart for the hopeful promise of her restored.

For wanting of a ship - I will be called upon to pay a greater price than any living man,

But she is worth far more than my soul to me.

For she's not just any ship - she's my Pearl; and she's my life.
