Prologue
Back Through Time
(Sheik POV)
I knew, from the first time I saw and spoke to him in the Temple of Time, that I had fallen for the Hero of Time. His tan skin, golden honey stands gently caressing his smooth face, and bright, azure eyes, entranced me at once. And I had always wondered what his reaction would be if I were to reveal my own face to him.
But it could not be.
The Hero of Time was supposed to fall in love with the Princess of Destiny. It was fate, and a lowly, forgotten Sheikah wouldn't change that.
I wonder if he thought of me as just a guide, just a messenger for the princess…just a shadow…
I have never told anybody my true name, not even my mentor, Impa. But I was going to tell him. He was going to know. But, when I had the chance…

I looked at my companion. He was radiating courage. I was awed by this fact. He spoke to me.
"Sheik."
I started. He had caught me staring. I looked away, thanking the Golden Goddesses for my cowl, which hid my already reddening face.
He smiled, and my heart fluttered. "Rupee for your thoughts, Sheik?"
I saw this as my chance to reveal myself to him.
"Hero, I have not been truthful to you."
I saw out of the corner of my eye that Hero's own azure orbs had widened, then narrowed. "You haven't?" I winced at the surprised anger and suspicion in his voice. "No."
I turned to face him, locking gazes.
"The truth is, I…"
I never got to finish, for a loud explosion ripped through the air of Kakariko. A house had gone up in flames. The monster from the well, which Impa had sealed many years ago, had escaped.
And I had lost my chance to tell him my feelings.
After, I had taught him the Nocturne of Shadow, and he had rushed off to the Shadow Temple, and I never saw him again. Her highness, Princess Zelda would go to him disguised as myself, and together they would defeat the Dark King, sealing him forever, and then she would send him back to regain his lost years.

As I watched from the shadows of a corner of the Temple of Time, I saw that Hero knew Zelda was not myself. Then, I watched as Zelda was captured by Ganondorf and taken to his castle.
And then I waited in my corner.
After what seemed like forever, Zelda and Hero returned to the Master Sword's chamber. I followed silently, keeping to the shadows.
Zelda told him about the past and the present and how she had to send him back to reclaim his lost childhood. She asked for the Ocarina of Time. As he pasted it over, my stomach clenched, and I wondered what would become of him.
But, something was wrong. As Zelda played, I felt the ground beneath my feet vanish. I looked around wildly. I was surrounded by a blue-white light, just as he was.
I was being sent back in time with him!
I shouted at Zelda with all my might to stop, but she could not her. He heard though. He looked up at me, eyes wide, with shock.
His voice was panicked as he cried out, "Sheik!"
The last thing I saw was Link reaching out to me, then a flash of white light, before every thing went black.

Okay, first of all, this is just an inquiry to see how many people actually will read this. I will continue if enough people review. I have an idea, and this is my first yoai story to make it to the net.
If you wish for this to be continued, please review.
