Falling
They stood atop a building looking out at the city and watching the sun set. Jinx had just come up with another question and she was quite pleased with herself. Asking Wally West questions was always fun. Kid Flash was such a good person to be around.
She had been living with Flash for about two months now. Ever since he had come to the Hive five and disrupted everything she had ever known. She had grown to really like Wally or Flash, which ever. Anyway, she had just recently figured out that her feelings for him had grown to a deeper level.
She no longer avoided flirting with him. She actually flirted with him just as much as he flirted with her. It might be hard to believe that, but it was true and now she had figured out the perfect way to tell him exactly how she felt.
"Is it true that if I dropped something you could get down all twenty floors and catch it before it hit the ground?" She asked sweetly turning away from the view and leaning against the railing. Wally stepped back from the railing to look at her.
"Yeah, I guess. Why do you ask?" He asked suspiciously. She smiled up at him.
"Want to test that?" She asked all too innocently. Flash was immediately caught off guard, but what would it hurt.
"SUUURE?" He said slowly and then before he could stop her, the railing gave away after a lightning quick flash of pink and Jinx was falling. 'damn it!' Wally thought before taking off at top speed. Racing down the stairs faster than he had ever gone and he caught her three feet from the ground. 'thank the lord!' Flash thought.
He was relieved that she was safe, but he was more pissed off at her for trying something that dangerous. If something had happened to her… he didn't want to think about that.
"Damn it Jinx, what was that?" He yelled as he set her on her feet. She smiled at him.
"It was supposed to be symbolic, Flash." She said in a condescending tone and he blinked. She said it like a five year old could figure that out, but Kid Flash was totally clueless.
"Symbolic! Symbolic of what? Is that supposed to symbolize that you're crazy and suicidal?" He asked confused and more that a little angry. She usually wasn't this stupid. She could have been seriously hurt if something had gone wrong.
She giggled and turned to head back to the apartment, but not before she called over her shoulder to him.
"You figure it out!" she said still giggling which was abnormally unlike her. He frowned as he watched her turn around a corner. He thought about it.
Jinx falling to see what he would do? What could that symbolize? Jinx falling… why was she falling? Falling for him to… hold that… FALLING FOR HIM!
"JINX, WAIT UP!" He called to her as he raced around the corner.
So this is my first story for Jinx and Flash. It's not much and I really don't expect many reviews, but they'd be appreciated. Any comments are good comments. Sugarcube18
