Somnambulant Italy
The air smelled of pasta, tomatoes, and a delicious variety of spices. To Feliciano, this was Heaven. Surrounded by such magical aromas, and by the greatest food of Italian taste… Spaghetti, Pizza, Gnocchi, Italian Sausage, Gelato, cheeses, so on, and ect cetera. He felt as though he were on a cloud, gliding through the mouth watering air without so much as a small bit of effort, or even the slightest twitch of a muscle. Then came the Austrian deserts (cake, mostly), which were all rich and moist. Feliciano washed it down with the finest wine He and South Italy, France, and America's California vineyards had to offer. Feliciano shuddered gleefully as the wine trickled down his throat and warmed his belly. Despite the enchanted feast, there was something missing… Where was the Swiss chocolate?
Bang!
Feliciano screamed in terror as a gunshot awoke the Italian from his dream, causing him to flail violently. When he regained control, the first thing he noticed was he was not in his room. In fact, he wasn't even in his house! Nor was he in his dearest friend, Ludwig's estate. He was outside half-naked on someone's lawn. But not just anyone's lawn…
Feliciano~!!
Vash, the embodiment of Switzerland, as well as Feliciano's neighbor, held one of his many well trusted rifles. And boy, did the blond look pissed!
"I told you never to intrude on my property again, you little-"
Before the trigger-happy nation could finish his threat, Feliciano ran as fast as he could, screaming apologies the whole way back to his house.
Author's Notes: Somnambulant means to have a habit of sleepwalking. I don't know which country has the majority of the population of sleepwalkers, but to me, Feliciano seemed like the perfect candidate. Short, yes, but it got a few laughs, and I hope it did the same for you. Tis not my best work, but the next will hopefully be better. =) There are no facts here, it's just something I had to write within 10 minutes for the writing club's literary magazine…You want facts? *sigh* Very well.
Medical reports show that about 18% of the world population is prone to sleepwalking. It's more common in children than in adolescents and adults. Boys are more likely to sleepwalk than girls. The highest prevalence of sleepwalking was 16.7% at age 11-12 years of age. If a child begins to sleepwalk at the age of 9, it often lasts into adulthood. So there you have it. Ciao~! *gets on a motor scooter and leaves*
