Kay this is the first poem I've wrote in a long while so my skills have diminished a lot which means that it may not be as good as expected. Still I plan to try. Please R n R

This is dedicated to Lady Sun Shang Xiang

His warm fingers that brushed against my cheek

His strong embrace that told me all was alright

His perfect smile that filled me with happiness

Their only the memories that I hold in my heart

Now his fingers are cold and harsh

His arms hang limply by his stiff body

And he will not smile anymore.

I felt my heart stop when they told me the news of my love's demise

His love for his country, and the loss of so many of his people

He fell into despair as I do now

Now I am alone

I am alone

Am alone

Alone

I look into the sparkling river

And it waves at me

"Join me here, I will take you far from pain."

It whispers to me

I see a reflection of myself and I am not alone

He stands there beside me

Still smiling at me

I stand on the bridge and hold my arms wide

Then I fall into my love's embrace

He wraps his arms around me and pulls me in closer

I gape for air but his smile reassures me all is well

I smile too and I let my body fall limp

I see the light of golden gates

And he stands there waiting for me

I happily take his hand and we step into the warmth of the light together

When my body was found it was said that I had never looked happier

How could I have been sad?

I am with my love for all eternity.
