It hurt. Everything hurt. He hadn't considered the pain when he'd decided to fall from grace; there never had been real pain in Heaven, after all. It was sharp and made his mind scream in agony. This wasn't how it was supposed to be. He said he would be here, waiting for him to land so he could take him in his arms and brush away all the guilt.

Guilt.

That stabbing feeling telling you that you've done something terribly wrong. Where was it? The others always talked about it, like it was something they'd experienced. Shouldn't he be writhing and suffering with guilt now? He should be, he thought. That would be the correct reaction to what he'd just done. But nothing was there. Nothing but the pain of having your entire essence ripped from your core. Something was wrong. There were footsteps now, and a low humming voice coming from above.

'Father?' He asked, his voice sounding so strained, like a badly tuned violin. One gentle pluck, one wrong word, and he'd shatter. The humming continued, closer this time. His eyes cracked open and slowly focused on the figure standing above him.

'Sorry I was late. Had a deal to make, you know. So hard to find good work these days.' The voice sounded so familiar. It lilted and sang, but something was off about it. It wasn't like the beautiful voices he'd grown up with. There was a darkness there, just below the surface.

'A deal?' The man, his eyes were quickly focusing now, crouched down and stared him in the eye. His own narrowed until the man's flicked to a black so deep he was sure he'd drown if he stared too long. Ah, yes. He remembered now. The demon. The father of all demons. Lucifer. The First Fallen spoke again, this time half to himself.

'Though I guess I did find you. Hm... I do hope you last.' The newly broken angel nodded slightly, his body screaming at him from the small movement. 'Oh, that's right. You've just landed, haven't you. Stand up. There you go.' Lucifer gently touched him. In an instant, his bones mended and his mind calmed. He stood before the Devil and remembered that he should be afraid. The demon looked into his eyes and laughed.

'Yes, you'll make a fine improvement to my... practice, shall we say? I may even keep you for myself.'

'Yes, sir.' He replied. The other laughed, high and insane.

'Sir? No, no, Sebastian. You're my favourite now. You'll call me Jim.'

Finally! After such a LONG time! I'll try to be better about the few prompts I have left, between studies and Protecting Him. And life. Right.

Hope you enjoyed! R&R!
