Naruto Fan Fiction (A Sasuke Love Story): Too Focused, Please Understand Me!
BIGINNING I wandered the Inu village, curiosity not picking at me as it usually does. I saw someone wave at me.
"Suzu!"
they called. I didn't know them, but I wasn't surprised, almost everyone knew me here. The only strange thing was, I never ever had thought it odd, nor did I think it odd that most people shunned me. I grew up to it. I smiled at the brown haired boy, around 6 or 7, who ran up to me.
"Hello there."
I answered nonchalantly. I noticed that the boy actually did seem somewhat familiar, maybe he was from my clan.
"Suzu, they know you left! You have to get back before they-"
"Its alright, they can't do anything to hurt me anymore."
"But!-"
"I have kept a secret from them, so they'll never know how to actually hurt me!….would you like to here it?"
I whispered at the end, to make him even more curious, I knew I could trust a stranger if they did not shun me like the rest, and I had to tell someone. His eyes glistened at the thought of hearing a secret.
"Oh! I wanna hear it!"
"Shhh!….Ok, my secret…I have a best friend!"
He gave me such a look of surprise that I almost laughed at, his cute surprised face.
"Wow! Who is it?! Who is it!?"
He had to use all his might to keep from yelling.
"You must promise not to tell! They might hurt him if they find out!"
"Cross my heart and hope to die!"
"Alright….Its my cousin, Riku."
He smiled greatly. I smiled too. My smiled probably seemed more relieved.
"He's nice!"
"Yes, he's very kind."
"…Oh, its really late you should probably get home now, I'm going home too!"
He was still smiling as he ran off. I smiled and decided to walk home, even though they could never hurt me mentally, my parents could still give me a bad beating. At that thought, I started running.
--
I woke up more sore than usual. I smiled at the thought of what today was, the annual family/clan reunion. I would get to see my cousin. Of course we would have to be sneaky about it since my family doesn't allow me to see the guests, to them I'm an embarrassment. Usually, whenever we had these sort of parties, they'd lock me up in my room, but this time they did something different. They put me in the basement, and locked me up in chains. I did not struggle, I knew it was useless, hopefully Riku would figure out where I was so he could see me. I waited for what it seemed to me hours before I heard sneaky steps heading to the basement. I would have jumped up with joy if I didn't have the chains holding me down. The door slowly opened.
"Riku?!"
I whispered excitedly. Riku walked in, sighing in relief when he saw me.
"I thought they might have killed you-"
He glanced at the chains, the bruises, the scratches. I ignored his look of despair, we both knew it was not his fault, he was here, and it made me happy.
"Riku! I'm so happy to see you! I almost thought you wouldn't find me!-"
That's when we heard the loud, fast approaching footsteps. The were loud stomps of fury, someone knew Riku was here. My face and Riku's mirrored each other, both being one a look of worry, and distress. I wished I could tell him to hide, but there was no where, I wished there was a way to prove that I had made him come to me, but there was no way. The door banged open to reveal, my father holding a knife, and the boy standing behind him, a wicked grin his face.
"Riku!"
"Midori!"
We screamed in unison. I wished so badly for this to be another terrible nightmare, but it just wasn't.
