He heard a whirring coming from outside. At first he thought nothing of it but as he kept listening he noted how it sounded vaguely familiar. Realization crossed his face and he quickly pounced up, running towards the backdoor since the noise was coming from there. As soon as he made it to the back patio a big figure started to appear. A small smile formed on his face as the TARDIS fully appeared. He loved and missed it so much. He quickly walked over to it and placed his hands on the front door. He let the roam around and his fingers traced the lettering of the sign on the front door. He walked all around it, observing it and noticing that it looks the exact same way it looked the last time he saw it. He made sure no one was looking before he pressed a light kiss to the fading blue paint. "Hello….. sexy." He stood in front of the door and was about to snap his fingers when a cough from behind distracted him. He turned around and there stood Rose, staring at the TARDIS in amazement.

"Is that…. is that the TARDIS?"

He grinned at her and patted the blue box. "The one and only."

She slowly walked over to it and rested her hand against the door frame. "It looks exactly how I remember it."

He smiled and snapped his fingers. The door opened and she peeked in. "Let's check out the inside."

He offered his hand and she gave him a look. "Why should I go back with you?"

He looked around at their surroundings. He noticed the house that he's been living in for the past year, the garden Rose tended to at night because she loved looking at the stars and smelling the roses. He felt a nice familiar feeling but not a homey feeling. This place wasn't home. Not to him and not to Rose, and she knew that. He looked back into the TARDIS and smiled at the lights and the levers that he was all too familiar with. This was home. This is where he felt safest in, this is where he loved to be at. He looked back at Rose and pulled out his sonic screwdriver, he pressed a button and a recording sounded out from it. "I want to go home." Rose looked stunned and he smiled at her. "You've been saying that so many times you never realized that this is your home." She stood there silent for a moment before taking his hand and stepping inside. It felt nice and warm and she quickly walked over to the center, fingering the railings on the way. He closed the door and ran to her, and he began to pull levers and press buttons.

"Where are we going?"

He looked up at her and then went back to pressing buttons. "Away. For good. We're not coming back here again." He looked around the TARDIS and whispered. "I'm never losing you again."

Rose bit her lip and wandered around. She knew that the Doctor kept saying that she was different from all his other companions and that he cared about her differently then he cared about any of them, but she still had this feeling that she was second best to someone. Something. She patted the interior wall of the TARDIS and whispered. "Now I know what that something is…." She looked over back at the Doctor and smiled.

"But for now he's still my Doctor."
