First Loves Never Die.
A/N: OMG WOW I HAEVN'T WRITTEN ANYTHING IN SOOOOO LONG!!!!! So anyways, this is based on a true story, which also happens to be my story, but anyways, it took place in my life almost 2 yrs. ago now, I suppose. This is the first draft of the first chapter so yeah... wow, I can't believe I'm finally writing this out!!
Also, keep in mind that this was about one year after 9/11 so things were REALLY abnormal in the airports!!

Chapter I: A Family Visit
Imagine it, 8th grade year for Higurashi, Kagome and her mother waiting in the airport for her aunt and cousin to arrive. The seconds dragged on for what seemed like hours, and each breath echoed as if never-ending in a continuous cycle of silence. Then she saw them, her Aunt Kanaru and her cousin Abi. Abi, being a high school senior, and being able to drive, had rented a car for Kanaru and herself. Kagome was riding home with Abi and was telling her about her favorite class: English. Abi, being highly curious had to ask her EVERYTHING about the boy Kagome sat in front of.
"Oh, he's alright I guess. I mean, he's really smart, sweet, and funny at times. Other times he can be a real jerk, though." Kagome said
Abi asked, "So do you like him!?"
"INUYASHA!?!? Pft, yeah right!" Kagome responded.
"Well, the way you talk about him, it sure seems that you do."
"Whatever. Anyway."
"Right, whatever, anyway."
"Turn right."
"Ok. So who do you like?"
"I dunno."
"Oh, come on, sure ya do!"
"Well I do, but that doesn't mean I'll tell you."
"That's because it's Inuyasha, isn't it?"
"Now what makes you say that?"
"I said it before, you like him! Anyone could tell that from the way you talk about him!"
"He's just a really good friend! I promise you this!"
"Alright, whatever"
"Turn left."
The rest of the ride home was made in silence. Not the same airport-silence, though. Something different.
'I know she likes him!' Abi thought.
'Do I really like him? I mean, it's Inuyasha for heaven's sake!! Just a really good friend... yeah... just a really good friend...'
