Snape stood over the Pensieve. His wand fell away from his pale forehead. A thin white memory came away also. Snape's wand dipped into the silver bowl, the cloudy water swirled into small storms.

Severus huffed a bit, and looked out the window. It was all so much easier back in the day. He turned his attention back to the Pensieve and took a dip, his blanched face first, into the silver bowl.

Immediately a memories ghostly form shifted into place all around Severus. There was Lilly, and a younger less-greasy Severus. She smiled at him, he smiled back. They laughed. It was perfect.

The shimmers evaporated. Snape straightened up, and turned back to grading essays.

A/N: Sorry this is late. I didn't see the new topic was posted until just a few minutes ago. Also, sorry that this drabble a little longer then it should be (116 words). Hopefully, you'll forgive me.
