Wrote this little fic while thinking of a kids book idea, hope you like it. Written in kids book grammar on purpose
Jane, a little girl with a big dream said "I wish I could fly"
So she made a paper airplane and pretended she could while her mother was away.
When she was a got older, she said "I wish I could fight"
So she watched the others and learned a few moves. She even managed to find a suit of armor with the help of a certain funny fellow.
Then, when the little girl who wasn't so little anymore, and who wasn't a child anymore became a teen, she said to himself "What should I do with my life?"
Patting her on the back, the funny fellow who was her best friend Jester said "Just do what you think is best"
And that's what she did. She learned how to fly a fire-breathing Dragon and became a knight. Then when she became an adult, she said to herself "Is there anything that is lacking in my life?"
Her best friend Jester, who had the biggest crush on her said with a blush on his face "Nothing except a man to call you his wife"
It took only a short time since they knew each other their whole lives, but he was her mentor in love, with her becoming his wife. They spent a good amount of their days laughing at the silliest of things, and others fighting for castle and it's safety, but they were happy.
If she could go back in time, I'm sure things would have turned out the same. After all, isn't a happy ending the best part of it all? Or is it a happy beginning? Whatever you call it, it's the end to this tale, with another one on always on the way the way.
