Soaring through the air
For the very first time
The breeze tousling my hair
And my robes whipping around my feet
Such a magical experience
If there ever was one
Flying through the air
Soaring and diving
With no effort at all
Performing a graceful ballet in the air
Even with no past experience
In the magic of flying
Enjoying the magic
Of such a wonderful thing
That I haven't done before
Who would have thought that I could fly
What could be better
Than flying on a broom
All my life I have never
Experienced something
As wonderful as flying
Soaring, diving, feinting, it was all meant for me
How could I have lived
Without knowing about flying
Broomsticks, Quidditch, Games
The whole lot of it
What with games and the Cup
I'm happy just thinking about all of these things
I can't imagine how life would be
If I never learned how to fly
As trees and people
Pass me by
I feel enlightened
About the world, both wizarding and Muggle
I feel as though
I have learnt something more
When I learnt to fly
But what have I learned
That is so special to me
I have learnt to fly
But what is so special about flying, really
Why do I have such passion
Run through me when I fly
Because flying lets you free
Flying is so wonderful
You can express yourself freely
And you can relax
But above all else, you can let go
You can go free and roam the earth
And enjoy life
That's how life was meant to be
