Sunday Afternoons

Kyo sat at the table as he listen to Tohru hum a familiar tune while washing the dishes. The light from the window reflected off the counter surface, making Tohru already bright appearence, even brighter.

CRASH! A dish fell to the floor and the cracked pieces scattered in multiple directions.

Kyo flinched.Tohru paniced.

Little problems made her worry, a broken dish was more then enough. Kyo got up to help her clean the mess.

"Tohru...jeez you're always such a klutz."he teasingly said. He chuckled lightly to himself and smiled as he bent down to pick up the broken pieces of kitchenware.

"Careful not to cut yourself!"said Tohru as she raced around searched for a broom to sweep up the tiny bits.

"You be careful. Don't worry about me worry about yourself."He grabbed her wrist and directed her towards the closet with the broom. Tohru had a faint blush the whole time.

"Tha..thanks, Kyo."As her sudden nervousness faded Tohru gave one of those smiles that tugged at kyo heart.

"Heh, anytime."

"Do you want anything to drink?"

"hm...tea would be nice."Kyo got up to sit at the open door of the house. The light breeze blew through the room bringing a few leaves.

One bright green leaf caught Kyo's eyes. Picking it up gently, he twirled it around in his hand for lack of anything else to do.

"Kyo, tea." Tohru came to sit by him, she pulled her knees up against her chest and sipped her tea.

"Thanks"

"..." An awkward silence ensued.

"ahh...such a nice day." Tohru said just to fill empty blank space, along with giving one of her "dumb" smiles.

"You want to go for a walk?" Kyo was already starting to get up from sitting and stepping outside onto the grass.

He held out his hand.

"Coming?"

Kyo always chuckled at her fragileness. Shyly Tohru would take is hand as he helped her down from the step.

Just like she did every Sunday afternoon with Kyo and hoped it would always be like that, as did he.
