It's quiet. All that can be heard is our pants. Axel's house is always empty. His dad left when Axel was twelve and Axel's mum is physically here but in her own world, talking to a friend on the phone, wishing she was somewhere else. She probably wouldn't notice if someone went up to her and slapped her.

Axel doesn't trust me. Not for a minute. Never has never will. Maybe that's for the best? I understand him though, everyone has left in one way or another. But he still loves me. And I love him too. But there's no trust between us.

When I wake up Axel has already left for work and left a note with a key on the table beside me. "Lock the door behind you when you leave," the note says. I do as it says as I walk out of the door and leave the key in the mailbox. I bet he thought he could get it from me personally, but then he's wrong.

I've been ignoring Axel phone calls. I just can't talk to him right now. But it isn't easy to get away from him. So right now I'm on a train crossing the country away from him. Soon I've left the map and then I'm gone and I'll never see him again, just as planned.

I did leave a note together with the key though. "Dear Axel, don't ever love anyone. They will all leave you sooner or later. Just like I've done." I don't know if he even read it, but it exists. I remember crying slightly when I wrote but telling myself it was for the best. Now I'm all alone again, but isn't that the point?
