A/N: This is a mini two-part story set at the time of James Sirius Potter's first year (Basically, it's next gen). The Marauders decide to visit Hogwarts one last time and remind their decedents of their legacy.

Minerva McGonagall had always been brave. She prided herself on that, and rightly so. It was hard to stay brave throughout two wizarding wars and still be strong enough to head teach a school afterwards.

Today was the same as any other. Nothing had changed in the routine, and that was how it should be. This was a time of peace, and their shouldn't be anything to disturb that peace. She sighed softly as she shuffled some of the papers on her desk, but looked up and around when she heard a polite coughed from behind her. It was the portrait of Albus Dumbledore, the best head teacher Hogwarts had ever had, smiling happily at her.

"Yes, Albus?" She asked tiredly. He chuckled and adjusted his sloping wizard's hat which was threatening to fall off his head.

"Nothing, nothing…." He paused, and McGonagall tapped her feather quill against the desk expectantly. "Well, I just thought that you might like to know…. Oh, it doesn't matter, I'm sure you'll find out soon anyway."

"Tell me Albus!" She said furiously, her pen now stabbing the desk. Before he could answer, the door to the headmistress' office banged open and a half-mad looking woman stumbled into the room.

"They're back!" She whispered feverishly, her eyes wide behind her large glasses. "It's them, Minerva! It's truly them! I sensed them returning from the spirit world, but I didn't realise they were here for good!" Minerva glanced at Albus, annoyed, before focusing on Professor Sybil Trelawny.

"Who has returned, Sybil?" McGonagall questioned slowly. Professor Trelawny shook her head and raised her palms to the sky.

"It's is them, headmistress! It is they whose feats are still spoken of today, it is they whose names are known by every student who passes through these halls!"

"It is?…" Probed McGonagall.

"It is the Marauders!"
