Just a drabble that has been floating around in my head. Set after ME3 and since Shepard is alive you can guess which ending it is.

They told her she couldn't take Saren down, but she did.

They told her stopping the Collectors was suicide, but she survived.

They told her defeating the Reapers was impossible, but she did.

So when she woke up in a medbay after being found, barely alive, on the Citadel and was told she only had a few months to live, she just smiled.

Four months after the Defeat of the Reapers, they conceded that she would live, but would never walk again.

Eight months after the Defeat of the Reapers, she walked out of the medbay, but was told she could never lead a squad from the front lines again and should think about retiring to a desk.

One year after the Defeat of the Reapers, she strapped on her new N7 armor and hefted her assault rifle as the repaired Normandy SR-2 dropped them on some unknown planet.

Ash stepped up next to her, "Ready to prove them wrong again, Captain?"

Shepard looked at her two new squad members before looking to the Commander and smiling, "Always."

Let me know what ya'll think!
