She looks so beautiful tonight and the stars are looking perfect, I hope this works. "I need a favor" "Yea sure what is it?" Egbert was cool like that. He helped out whenever I needed it. "Sure, what's the plan?"
"I want you to ask Jade if she can get some more punch from the roof, and I'll be waiting up there for her"
He smiled, "Will do, Dave" So I went up to the roof and waited. After five minutes or so I thought about going back down when, "Hi Dave! What are you doing up here? Where is the punch?" Great job Dave. You're so great at these plans. "Hey Harley, well I just thought I'd get some fresh air…"
"And the punch?" Good job dumbass. She just cares about the punch. You blew it before you could start. "Well…um...there isn't any…" She stood there confused for a couple seconds wondering what I meant. That's it man. Game over. One final chance of redemption. "Since you're up here… do you want to look at the stars with me?" "Yea sure Dave!" Is this real? I still have a chance. I can't screw up now. I got to focus.
We laid down on our back staring at the stars. I could feel her soft hair touching me and I didn't want to move. After silently looking at the stars for a minute I decided it was time to make my move. "Jade?" Our heads stayed fixed on the stars. "Yea Dave?"
"I want to ask you a question" Here it is Dave. Crunch time. I sat up and looked over and she looked at me confused. This was harder than I thought. I was blushing badly and I needed to say something quick. "So...do you want to go out?" She giggled halfway through. God dammit Dave. Why did you even think that she would- "Of course silly! I was waiting for you to ask!" Did she just….a smile grows on my cheeks as a lay back, grab her hand, and go back to stargazing on the best night of my life with the best girl in the world.
