Dear Maya,
Would you like to hear a sad story? A story about how love doesn't always work out in the end. I know that wherever you are, you are saying yes you would love to hear a story, just not a sad one. But what if the story started out sad and it got happier as it went on? What if the story was a love story about two people who were torn apart by the people who hated a little girl who died? Would you want to hear the story then? I never thought about all the cracks in our relationship and how we would fight, but still love each other. Because the truth Maya is that I never found anyone I loved as much as you and I wanted you to know that. I wanted you to know that I think of you at least two times a day, and I think of how happy we would be right now. I think of how we could have gone to college, like Idid with Paige, except we could have been so much greater.
I know you never liked Paige. I think that's a part of the reason I started dating her in the first place. I thought that if you saw me with someone that you didn't think was right for me that you'd come back. Unfortunately, I was mistaken. Maya I know that you'll never get this letter and that breaks my heart. It breaks my heart that the last words you heard me say to you were words of anger. Once upon a time there was a girl who loved her best friend. Her best friend knew how this girl felt about her, and the best friend used it to make this girl feel like nothing. Some best friend huh? Don't hate the best friend though, she had a lot going on in her life. But she did make the girl feel ashamed of her true feelings. The girl went on to date a guy that wasn't very nice to her. The guy wanted the girl to sleep with him and drink and go to parties even when he didn't feel comfortable with it. But then one day the girl met another girl, someone she had an instant bond with. This other girl made the girl feel safe, and the two kissed at Noel Kahn's party. The girl eventually fell in love with the other girl, and she knew she was her soul mate. They made love, and somehow survived through every challenge life threw at them. Whether it was parents who didn't understand drugs, jealousy, and even crazy exes. I'm sorry to say that this story doesn't have a happy ending. It should have one though, it was set up to have one. I told you the sad story Maya, and you know how it ends. I just hope you know that you were the girl's soul mate and that she will always love you. I know I will see you in heaven one day and we can be together then, but for now I have to go and send you this letter that you will never read.
