Chapter 1: Princess Rachael and Prince Zachary

Our story begins long ago in the city of Pendragon, capital of the Holy Britannian Empire. It was home to Emperor James zi Britannia, 50th Emperor of the throne, and his wife, Empress Lauren li Britannia. Their palace was guarded by their faithful dragon, Kyurem, and they had twin children, Princess Rachael li Britannia, who had blue eyes and white hair, and Prince Zachary li Britannia, who had red eyes and black hair.
One day, the kingdom was under attack, and both Rachael and Zachary were separated. Their parents went into hiding. Kyurem flew into the sky, and hasn't been seen since. The palace lay empty for nearly a decade, and nobody has entered, that is, until nine years later...
It was the eve of Rachael's tenth birthday, and she was under the care of three maidens: Cecilia, Vanessa, and Marilyn. Rachael went off skipping in the forest when she saw the abandoned palace.
"That's strange," she said. "That palace looks familiar. Could it be that I saw it in a dream? Or is it real?"
Just then, she saw a young hooded figure with red eyes, riding a Sawsbuck in its Springtime coat. "So," the figure said in a boy's voice, "you were drawn here by the sight of the palace, too, huh?"
"How did you know?" Rachael asked the figure.
"Just coincidence," the figure answered, before uncovering his hood to show he had black hair.
Rachael was shocked to see him. "I think I know you," she said. "But from where?"
"I dunno," the boy said. "I think you look familiar, too. I'm Zachary, by the way."
"Zachary?" Rachael repeated. "I had a brother named Zachary, but I don't remember what happened to him."
Zachary looked closely at Rachael. "Wait a minute," he began. "Rachael, is that you?"
The two looked at each other, as they haven't seen each other for nearly ten years.
"It is you," Zachary said. "You're my sister."
