Lucy's Birthday

Chapter 1 (and last)

July 1, my birthday, the day I was born. No one in Fairy Tail has noticed it's my birthday yet, well, I think so. I don't even know if they know when my birthday is. Everyone and everything in Fairy Tail was normal, no sign of a surprise at all.

"I bet Natsu forgot it's my birthday too..," I sighed.

Speaking of Natsu, Erza, Gray, Wendy and him weren't at the guild. They left early once I came into the guild. Mira and the rest took it like they were just on a mission, or I thought.

Maybe they actually left on a mission and accidently forgot about me.

A second later, another thought popped into my mind.

But they wouldn't do that, I'm their comrade.

Feeling a bit upset and tired, I sipped my mango drink once more and left the guild, with Mira waving me off.

While on the way home, I saw something from the corner of my eye, a shadow on the rooftops? I blinked and looked again, perfectly normal. I assumed I was just too tired and continued walking home.

"This stupid key..," I mumbled to myself as I struggled to open the door with my key.

"There we g-"

"SURPRISE," Everyone from Fairy Tail, including Natsu and the rest, in my living room shouted.

I jumped and looked around the room, I saw a streamers and balloons everywhere and a banner saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCY!" with a cake on my table.

"What's going on?" I asked, forgetting it's my birthday for a second.

"It's your birthday, Luce," Natsu said. "Don't tell me you forgot."

I thought for a while and laughed, but a question popped into my mind.

"How did you all reach here? You were at the guild," I asked.

Natsu replied, "Erza, Gray, Wendy and I came here and decorated your house while you were at the guild."

Mira replied nervously, "Yesterday, I asked Rogue to help us fly across the rooftops and sneak into your room. He agreed."

"Can we stop the explanations and just party? It's Lucy's birthday," Gray suddenly said out.

"Sure," I giggled.

The party was a blast. I had a lot of presents; Natsu gave me a pink ribbon to tie my hair with, Wendy gave me a small plushie of Plue, Gray gave me a white belt, commenting that my brown belt didn't match with my clothes, Erza gave me a new whip to apparently 'whip the boys'.

Finally, CAKE TIME! The cake was, luckily not strawberry or else Erza would have gobbled it down and asked for seconds, chocolate flavor. Everyone agreed that the chocolaty of the cake matched my chocolate brown eyes. We sang the birthday song, which is pretty childish, and ate the cake.

We partied a bit more which turned into a lot more. We stayed up till about 3am partying.

As everyone left, I changed into my pajamas and climbed into bed. I felt super tired like I just took a pill or something. I agreed with myself that that was the best birthday party I've had so far and fell into a deep sleep.
