Hello world! I am so so so sorry I haven't updated LAWOA in ages! I swear I was planning to write something them my brain went off on a Monster High tandem cause the new book came out which by the way SUCKED (pun intended) big time! Anyway, I was going to write a MelodyxJackson FF but got sidetracked by Scorose and I have spent the past week and a half reading at least 2 dictionaries worth of Scorose. Also I've been super busy cause I have a school performance on Monday and extra rehearsals at dancing. So, to hold you guys over until my writer's block for LAWOA clears up, I've adapted this story I wrote back in Feb. Hope you like it and sorry for the insanely long AN!

Disclaimer: Don't own HP, never will.

Pressing her forehead against the cool glass of the front door, she steadied her wobbling figure on the scratched silver door handle. Figuring it was now or never, she forced the stiff silver handle down and shoved the glass with all her might, desperate to get away from the place she once loved with all her heart. Her heart that her father might as well have blasted to bits with the Elder Wand.

"Rose. Nymphadora. Weasley."

Stumbling onto the porch, weighed down by her heavy trunk, her ocean blue eyes scanned the deserted Muggle street. All she could make out in the blackness were the smudged outlines of the building opposite her.

"You are hereby disowned! You are no longer my daughter!"

Sensing no danger she speed-walked out of the doorway only to be met with a torrent of frigid, icy bullets of water, slapping against her bare shoulders and stinging her face. Her only guide was a lone orange streetlight, reflecting a pool of light onto the wet, glassy pavement.

"No daughter of mine would say she loved a Malfoy!"

She felt someone close their hand around her bony wrist and drag her closer to their warm frame. Her body immediately knew who it was, this gesture embedded into her muscle memory. Her head was turned away so he would not see her cry. He gripped the sides of her head and gently forced it up. When her gaze lifted, he saw tears glinting on her cheeks in the dim amber glow.

"One I specifically told her to stay away from before she even got on the train!"

"Have you ever wondered why my eyes are always shining?" she choked. He nodded, pleading for her to continue.

"It's because I cry so much." Instinctively he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her frozen body closer until they were flush against each other. Finally caving in, she laid her head on his shoulder and let the tears flow.

"You can cry as much as you like," he soothed gently, stroking her dripping scarlet hair. "I'll be here for you."

"Get out of my house this instant. Your precious Malfoy is probably dying to see you."

"Thank you, Scorpius," she mumbled, gently brushing her lips against his.

"It's just us now," he said gravely, "no parents to speak of. We can finally go and live our own lives, Rosie."

"Together," she declared, weaving her fingers into his and turning away from her home for 17 years.

"Together," he promised.

"Always."

Ta-da! Did you like the ending? The ever-famous 'always!' Please review and tell me what you think!
