Travis's POV ~
I sighed.
Connor sighed.
Never, EVER, had we been this stumped. Could you believe it if I said – brace yourselves – we were out of idea's for pranks?
Well, we were, and I think the whole camp was glad.
But not for long. We plan on doing a huge comeback, we just haven't thought of it yet.
Anyway, we were sitting on Half-Blood hill, snacking on some strawberries we stole from the Strawberry Fields.
"I know!" Connor's eyes widened. "How about we destroy all the berries?"
I shook my head. "Not unless we want Mr. D to kick our butts."
Suddenly I spotted Percy and Annabeth being all 'love-birdie' and scoffed. "Seriously, will those two ever take a break from each other?"
"What?" He asked
I pointed to them, and he rolled his eyes. "Tell me about it."
"How about we prank them?" I suggested.
"And how would we do that?" Connor tossed a strawberry leaf behind him.
My shoulders slumped. "I don't know."
We were silent for a while, still watching Annabeth and Percy.
"Man, this is stupid." My brother complained. "Is dad making us be like this?"
"I don't think so." I frowned.
Then I spotted Katie running up to us.
"'Sup, Katie." I greeted.
"Hey guys." She sat in front of us, looking puffed out.
I spotted Connor quickly shoving the strawberries into his pockets out of the corner of my eye and it took all my willpower not to whack him upside the head.
"What are you guys doing?" Katie asked, not noticing Connor and the berries.
"Nothing." I replied.
"I hear you're out of pranking ideas." She said.
Connor snorted. "Does the whole camp know?"
"Yeah, pretty much." She shrugged.
He rolled his eyes and I decided to change the subject. "What were you running from?"
"Oh, Annabeth asked me to take her cap because Percy was being a dork and was trying to steal it."
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't know, to bug her?"
"And why were you running?" Connor asked.
"He started chasing me but gave up." She laughed slightly.
I nodded.
Then an idea sprung to mind.
Connor seemed to think it too, because we exchanged evil grins.
When we looked back at Katie, her eyes widened. "Oh, no. I know that grin…whatever you're planning I had nothing to do with it!"
Then she sprinted down the hill, and we were silent for a bit, figuring out a strategy.
"The cap." We finally said in unison.
