Of Strange Spells
Draco Malfoy sat on his bed, looking through the many marriage interviews his mother had sent him earlier that morning with little interest. Having finally entered his last year of Hogwarts, the time had come for him to finally reach his inheritance and take over the family name. However, to earn said position he needed a wife, or at least those were the words of his father.
In Draco's opinion, he could not have cared less at that moment. He rather found his own wife, other than to have one thrown at him by his mother or father. Unfortunately for him, his father had made it very clear that unless he could find someone to love on his own by the end of that month he would be forced to choose one of the many girls from the folder of desperate women. Even if more than half of them were in there just for the sake of money and fame.
Even worse, the month was up, and by the end of the day, he was supposed to present his future wife to his parents. The only problem was that at that point, Draco was still just as lover-less as he had been a month earlier.
He released a sigh of utter desperation and fell back on the bed with a heavy thud. What was he to do? If only there was more time he was sure he would be able to find his destined lover. He played around with his wand, twirling it between his fingers when suddenly he had an idea!
Draco Malfoy was a wizard and what did wizards do best? Well they cast spells of course! He sat back up and thought hard. If he wanted to meet his future wife but had to speed up the process as time had ran out to find her on his own, what spell would he use to find said person?
Mindlessly he conjured a glass of water, suddenly thirsty, with a simple accio spell. He took a zip of the water and relished in the refreshing taste. "What a dandy spell." He praised satisfied and that was just when the tiny light bulb over his head once again lit up. Accio was a spell to use when you wanted something, right? Perhaps Accio could be used to find his destined one, his one true love?
Deciding to give it a try, he rolled up the sleeves of his robe and bit the back of his cheek hard, putting as much focus into the spell as he possibly could. "Accio future wife!" He firmly said and a loud pop echoed through the room.
A heavy weight landed on his lap and he released a sound of shock when he noticed just who it was that had landed on it. "POTTER?" he asked bewildered, hoping his eyes were merely playing a trick on him.
"MALFOY?" Harry Potter barked out just as surprised and to judge by the constipated look on his face he was anything but happy sitting in the blond's lap all so suddenly. He had just been in the middle of a very interesting game of wizarding chess with Ron.
"ARE YOU MY FUTURE WIFE?" Draco continued his face red from either embarrassment or anger. It was very hard to tell the feelings apart at that moment.
"WIFE?" Harry tensely repeated, his mouth open in a silent o.
"…"
"…"
"Well I'll be damned."
And they lived happily ever after.
I just played around with the thought of the accio spell. It's supposed to get you everything… right?
Disclaimer: No owning of Potter, but I bet you already knew that...
