Disclaimer: PoT isn't mine, it's Konomi-sensei's.
"There he is…The tensai."
"Have you heard? He completely broke down Rikkaidai's Kirihara. He really is a tensai."
"He's brilliant, the tensai. Fuji Syuusuke."
He lay on his bed that night, remnants of the whispers which had plagued him throughout the halls replaying themselves in his mind. Outside, the cicadas chirped, their steady sound drifting him deeper into his reverie, "Tensai? Hardly." The voices in his head swallowed his thoughts.
"There he is, daydreaming again. And he still has perfect marks. He's so lucky, the tensai."
"I don't know, go ask the tensai."
"They don't understand. They shouldn't go about giving unwarranted titles to flawed beings." He stared absently at the ceiling, brilliant blue orbs clouded by a multitude of various emotions, "But then, is anyone deserving of the title tensai? Aren't we all flawed?"
"He's perfect, the tensai."
"Fuji Syuusuke? He's flawless. An angel come to earth, that tensai."
"Perfect? What makes me the model for perfection?" At this, he stood, and walked slowly to the bathroom, only to pause in front of the mirror and study the reflection staring back at him. He slowly took in the pale, grim face staring back at him, as the whispers continued.
"He's beautiful, the tensai."
"The tensai. What can't he do?"
"Tennis tensai Fuji Syuusuke."
"tensai."
"tensai."
"tensai."
As the face staring back at him contorted into a pained look of hatred, he watched as a fist raced towards the mirror, until the glass shattered, breaking the trance. He looked down at the glass littering the floor, realizing it was he who had broken it. A small smile flickered across his features as he gazed down to the crimson drops falling from his knuckles, where the glass had sliced his hand. Sliding down among the shards, he let his mind roam once more.
"Seigaku's tensai, Fuji Syuusuke." He chuckled darkly, "The perfect boy, the flawless angel you all admire. Praised for intellect and athletic ability. If only you could see me truly. If this is a tensai, I pity those above me."
He picked up a small, jagged shard lying just by his wrist, "I've been placed atop a pedestal. Proclaimed immortal, praised upon my throne. But I'm not immortal," blue eyes flashed, "and a fall from this height, one slight misstep from atop this pedestal will send me down, breaking me completely.
"So I'll just have to jump."

"Did you hear? He's gone; he was found lying on their bathroom tile, surrounded by shards of glass."
"There was so much blood; I heard he slit his wrists."
"He was so beautiful, like a broken angel, so peaceful he could've been sleeping."
"It's a shame he's gone, I'm sure everyone misses him, Fuji Syuusuke, the tensai."
...I just killed Fuji...Not much more can be said, by me at least. Reviews would be highly appreciated.
