Set in the stone age when Pebbles is 6 years old
Wilma was tucking Pebbles in at night.
"Mummy please tell me the good news," asked Pebbles.
"Not until your farther comes home," replied Wilma.
Earlier that day when Pebbles first woke, she was really happy because today was the day Fred was coming home. Wilma also seemed extra happy this morning as she was humming and smiling to herself.
"Yay Daddy's coming home today," rejoyced Pebbles as she sat down for breakfast.
Fred had been away for a week with Barny, out on the lake fishing.
"That's not all" said wilma,
"I have some very good news to tell you and your Farther today."
"What is it Mummy?, I really want to know" asked Pebbles.
"I will tell you when Daddy gets home," said Wilma.
Fred seemed to be taking ages to come home, throughout the day Pebbles would often look out the window of the cave to the front gate to see if Fred was back, though each time he wasn't. Pebbles was also getting impatient over wanting to know what Wilma's good news could be. Pebbles kept on asking her Mother what it was but each time Wilma would smile and say,
"I'll tell you when your Farther gets home."
Now it was Pebbles bed time and Fred still had not come home.
"Please tell me the good news Mummy, I've been waiting all day to hear it and now I'm about to
go to sleep and Daddy hasn't come home yet," said pebbles.
"OK Pebbles," said Wilma smiling,
"I'm having a baby, you're going to have a little brother or sister to play with," said Wilma as she gave Pebles a big hug.
"Yay I'm going to have a little brother or sister, there will be four in our family now." said Pebbles Happily.
Just then the front door opened and they heard Fred's voice yell out,
"Yaba-Dabba-Doo! anyone home?."
"Daddy's home!, you can tell him the good news mummy," said Pebbles excitedly.
"How about we tell Fred the good news together," said wilma.
"That's a good idea," said Pebbles smiling.
