Summary: Sometimes Rukia winders why she still puts up with Ichigo.

A/N: Just some Ichigo/Rukia fluff, 'cuz I was in that kind of mood.

All That Matters.

Sometimes Rukia wonders why she still puts up with Ichigo.

Even after five years of marriage, Ichigo would still pick fights with everyone. Her, Renji, her brother. Sometimes she forgot how he was still so young, but then he would start insulting her, and she would remember.

They had a daughter together, Akiko, but sometimes Rukia has to wonder how she handled him for two years and had a kid with him. Sometimes she just wanted to strangle him, especially when he began to get moody and rude. He was worse then a pregnant woman, suffering from mood swings.

One would think one would mellow with age and become more mature, but apparently Ichigo was the exception.

So, naturally, Rukia is left to wonder why she still puts up with him.

And then she walked in on him spending some one on one time with Akiko.

Ichigo was holding their three-year-old daughter against him, humming to her, probably trying to get her to fall back asleep. Then he said to her quietly, "You are so special to me, Akiko. You and your mommy are my angels. I would do anything to protect the two of you." he kissed the top of her head. "I love you both so much." He put her back in her bed.

That's when Rukia remembers. They love each other. Behind all the petty fights, they still love each other.

She had once heard that a relationship without arguments was doomed to fail. Perhaps that was a reason why they were still going strong, they would do anything to protect each other and their family.

And that's when Rukia remembers why she still puts up with Ichigo.

He walks out of Akiko's room and wraps his arms around Rukia, nestling his head in the crock of her neck. "I love you so much," he whispers.

Rukia smiles. "I love you too, Ichigo."

And that was all that mattered.
