Full Title: Matt may like to shoot people but Danny loves revenge
A/N: I probably should be working on Wondering, Wanting, and Expecting but this idea won't leave me alone so… yeah : ) I was re-watching the last episode of the 4th series last night and the whole "I won't forget that you shot me" thing triggered this little drabble. Enjoy.
Matt ran down the hallway of the small office building as quickly as he could. Every so often he would lift his EMD at a noise but swiftly put it down after determining that it was nothing.
"Where's the anomaly, Jess?" Matt asked through the comms as he slowed his pace down slightly.
"It should be down the hall to your left," Jess informed him before addiing, "Becker will be with you shortly."
"Thanks, Jess," Matt said as he followed her directions. He smiled as he entered a small copying room and found the anomaly inside. Good, no incursion, Matt thought, now we can just lock it and... Oh, crap. Matt suddenly realized that he had forgotten to bring a locking device.
"Wait, Jess, Becker's bringing an anomaly locking device, right?"
"Yeah, Matt, I noticed that you hadn't grabbed one," Matt heard Becker's voice over the comms, "And they call you our leader," Becker snorted.
Matt rolled his eyes at Becker's comment, "Just hurry up." He sighed as he stood before the anomaly for a few moments, just standing there watching it flicker. His EMD lay at his side still in his hand ready to be put to use as soon as it was needed. Suddenly, a large rock flew through the anomaly, drawing Matt's attention to where it landed behind him. Confused, Matt turned back around only to find his vision filled with a large old stick.
Then it hit him.
Literally.
Matt groaned as he held his face in his hands. He looked up, trying to find his assultant. Through his blurred vision he could see messy ginger hair and a amused smile painted on their face. A small smile popped onto his own face as the realization dawned on him and his assultant spoke.
"I did tell you that I wouldn't forget that you shot me, Matt."
